Trichet Says Eurobond is Possible, Withholds ECB’s Support

European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet said the introduction of eurobonds can’t be ruled out, though it’s not a step that the ECB is actively promoting.

“You should never say never but it’s not something we have thought was necessarily appropriate,” Trichet told lawmakers in Brussels. “We will not comment on the ideas what are here and there. We ourselves have not been the promoter of euro bonds.”

Only the Eurobond can save the PIGS and the rest of the European Union.
